According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, "conjoined twins occur once every 200,000 live births, and their survival is anything but assured."
However, 11-month-old twins, Ballenie and Bellanie Camacho, definitely have defied odds when they underwent a 22-hour surgery at at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York in order to be successfully be separated. The girls are doing very well.
